Hamamelis Salbe Haas®

Hamamelis Salbe Haas® contains aqua hamamelidis: a steam distillate of a mixture of fresh flowering witch hazel twigs (Hamamelis virginica) with aqueous alcohol.

Hamamelis virginica is the Latin name for Virginian Witch Hazel. Its leaves and branch bark were used as a medicine by the indigenous population of North America. Hamamelis Salbe Haas® can be used to treat varicose veins, external haemorrhoids, chapped skin, dry and sore nasal mucous membranes, wounds in small children and adults, skin abrasions, small burns, sun and glacier burns, chilblains.

Application

Unless otherwise prescribed by your doctor, apply ointment to the affected areas 2 to 3 times a day. Apply ointment dressings to chapped skin and other skin wounds and replace the dressings 2 to 3 times a day. Ointment must not be ingested!

Follow the dosage specified in the package leaflet or prescribed by your doctor.

Composition

1 g of Hamamelis Salbe Haas® contains: 150 mg witch hazel steam distillate (Aqua hamamelidis), wool fat alcohols (Alcoholes adipis lanae), wool fat (Adeps lanae), preservatives: E 217 and E 219 (p-hydroxy-benzoic acid methyl and propyl ester sodium compound), ointment base.
